What does it mean to convert?

The gospel ≠ a religion it ≠ a set of rules that bring us to God
The gospel is Jesus, he is the message that God is in the midst of us. We don’t have to call Him, He calls us. Our part is to accept Him being with us. God wants to help, heal, and deliver, be our everything our source of life.
It is a decision that you individually make. No one can make it for you and He will not force you to choose Him. He desires to give you the best; He desires to give you life.

CONVERT = come back to God, renewal, revive

Everyone has been made by God; no one is meeting Him for the first time when they convert. To convert = coming back to God the one who formed us and knows everything about us.

To convert is not to meet God for the first time it is to come back to Him to acknowledge Him always being there and accept Jesus paying the price for the division that was caused by sin. Jesus is the gospel He is our hope the one who pays the price that we can never pay. It is up to use will we accept God gift or refuse it will we continue to live on Satan’s side or Gods.

REPENT = change way of thinking and living.

There is no middle ground you are either on Gods side or Satan’s.

I have been meaning to type an update for some time now and just have not seemed to sit down long enough on a computer to form my thoughts. Classes are going very well. Last week we studied four biblical characters. The week session was called fallen personality profiles. We looked at Cain, Saul, Jezebel, and Absalom. The last day we had a class on God’s glory which was excellent. The next two weeks we are looking at the freedom cycle. It is so strange to look back and see what God did in the last three weeks and see how much is to come in these two weeks. Today the class was about Hope. Three things that are eternal Love, Faith and Hope. My eyes are beginning to be opened wider than they have been before. These next two weeks are going to have a very important impact on my life. It is crazy to realize that God is giving me the choice to return to living in bondage or continue on in freedom. If you could be praying for me this week that I will continually be seeking God and not allowing the fear of man to steal away the growth and freedom God has in store. I seem to be in a battle right now between what God is speaking to my spirit and what my mind wants to control. That I would act on the word of God rather than the words of people or myself.

OUTREACH – As of right now the prices have been set for the outreaches, but no decisions have been made. The teams will be partnering with local churches to teach classes regarding the plumb line and other topics that we have learned during the school. We will also be doing many other things such as ministering to individuals and doing practical work to help. Each outreach team’s opportunities will depend greatly upon what doors God opens for us as we are there. Two locations are definite(Brazil, South of Chile) and the third is possible, but may not happen (Uruguay). As of right now I am planning on being part of the team to Brazil, but I am still open to God’s leading as I have not prayed much about it yet.
